Long Beach Quilt Festival Postponed

May 15, 2020 – Press Release

Quilts, Inc. announced that the International Quilt Festival—scheduled to be held July 9-11 in Long Beach, California—has been postponed.

The press release states that they have received word from the Long Beach Convention Center’s management that the facility will remain closed until Labor Day.

Currently the state of California is in “Stage 2” of their COVID-19 reopening plan and Convention Centers, Concerts, and Sporting Events all fall into the “Stage 4” category. Making it unlikely that large gatherings will be allowed in the state this summer.

Quilts Inc shared they are working on potential dates for a summer 2021 show at the same location. Those that enrolled and have already paid their registration and class fees for 2020 will receive an email with the the option for a full refund, or to keep their registration as is for next year. Exhibitors will receive a separate communication about their booth fees.
