A New Venture for the Industry’s Future Threads of Success to debut at Fall Quilt Market 2019
September 18, 2018—A unique stand-alone conference and educational experience for those new to the quilting and sewing industry—or hoping to get a foot in the door—has been announced by Quilts, Inc., producers of International Quilt Market.
Running concurrently with the 2019 edition of Quilt Market in Houston, which takes place October 26-28, Threads of Success will feature classes, networking events, and lectures geared specifically toward new or potential industry participants.
It will also include a mentorship program involving a key group of well-known names in the business, and attendees will enjoy exclusive access to the Quilt Market trade show floor among exhibitors and attendees on the last day of the show. At Threads of Success, attendees will learn how to turn their creative passion into a successful career!
Thirty-six individual classes will provide content for the four Focus Tracks of Fabric Designers, Pattern Designers, Writers, and Online Retailers, with additional general interest offerings in copyright law and accounting/finance concepts. Finally, three breakfasts and two luncheons will feature speakers who are leaders in the industry.
Threads of Success attendees will get answers to questions, network with others facing similar challenges, learn to avoid expensive mistakes, market themselves and their talents, and manage their money and business to their greatest advantage. In addition, they will gain knowledge on how to move from hobby to business, get their work published, increase their online presence, expand creative and business networks, gain unprecedented access to the true hub of the quilting industry, and more!
Threads of Success is coordinated by Marcia Barker, Director of Education for Quilts, Inc. Details for the premiere Threads of Success conference will be announced soon! Sign up at this link to receive news and information by email.
