It gives us immense pleasure to share with you the news we received this morning. American-born artist Frank “Kaffe” Fassett receives great honor. The Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen, awarded Kaffe an honorary Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE).

An MBE is only given to individuals with outstanding service to the community.

Kaffe Fassett dedicated 50 years of his life to knitting, needlepoint and quilting. He promotes crafts and encourages others to find their own creativity. He produced over 30 publications, is a fabric designer, and gives international workshops, lectures and museum exhibitions.
